Strovolos Living Lab: Urban Gardening in Action!

The preparation of the Living Lab has begun with the first planter box, where compacted soil has been replaced with fertile garden soil. This work is coordinated by the Municipality of Strovolos, which provides all necessary resources, while Sustainability Metrics LTD and KES RESEARCH CENTRE supports the vegetable production process.

On Thursday (10.4.), planting will begin! A 27 m² space will soon be home to green vegetables and aromatic plants such as spinach, rocket, oregano, and lettuce.

Additionally, a drip irrigation network is being established, and two tanks will be installed to collect rainwater from the greenhouse roof, ensuring sustainable water use.

Exciting developments ahead—stay tuned! 🌎🌱 #UrbanGardening #LivingLab #SustainableFood #GreenCities
